Message from the assistant general director

21 years may not be a very long time in the life span of a school, but we are proud of our achievements during this time and this strengthens our resolve to continue with our goal of being a model Turkish school. This is a goal that keeps us dynamic at all times. Suna Kıraç, one of our foundes had advised us not to accept being average at a school opening ceremony years ago. To be able to do this, one needs to be able to take risks, on the other hand, we have also inherited an institutional identity from Vehbi Koç, the founder of the Vehbi Koç Foundation (VKV) that tells us to be cautious and well planned. When these two characteristics merge successfully we take calculated risks that brings success to our school. That is how we brought the International Baccalaureate Programme to Turkey and presented it within the frameworks of the national program. This created the opportunity for us to be able to see beyond our horizons and learn more. Together with a strong academic program encompassing the national and the international, contribution of various activities that our students take place in, many environmentalist and social responsibility projects that builds bridges with different parts of the world are reflected in the successful profile of our students and alumni. We are determined to continue working with the support of our families and the Vehbi Koç Foundation in order to raise students who are inquirers, risk takers, good communicators, knowledgeable, reflective, principled, open-minded, caring, and balanced.
