Infirmaries

Healthcare service at the Koç School is provided by AMERICAN HOSPITAL INERMED HEALTHCARE JOINT-STOCK COMPANY MEDAMERICAN POLYCLINIC. There are 3 infirmaries in our school: two in the elementary school which provide service within the school hours and another in the high school which provides 7/24 service since boarding students stay on campus.

2 nurses and a paramedic work in our elementary school’s infirmaries between 8:00-17:30. One of these infirmaries is for the Kindergarten and first degree students (Grade 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 students) and the second infirmary is intended for second degree students (Grade 6, 7 and 8 students). We also have a full time family practitioner on campus. The elementary school students can visit the infirmary for any health problems. The bed capacity of our elementary school infirmaries is five. The infirmaries offer bed rest service to students when necessary. During the weekend courses that take place in the elementary school, the infirmary will be providing service with a paramedic.

Our high school infirmary, which has 2 day and 2 night nurses, provides service for 24 hours (including the weekends). There are two different rooms for girls and boys, each having three beds. If our school doctor thinks it appropriate for a boarding student to have bed rest, the student can stay in the infirmary for 2 nights. What is more, we keep medicine prescribed for our boarding students in a cupboard in the infirmary and students take their medicine under the supervision of our nurses when necessary.
